WISPAPALOOZA 2016

My first year attending WISPAPALOOZA was a great success! The increasingly popular wireless industry trade show primarily consists of WISPs and continues to grow year after year – in fact, according to WISPA, this year's event included over 1,500 attendees from 46 states, the District of Columbia and 26 countries. More than 100 exhibitors showed wireless products, tower technology, cloud services, VoIP solutions, consulting, mapping services and more.

I personally attended the exhibition to help showcase IgniteNet’s product line and our one-of-a-kind cloud controller. But, as expected, our powerful MetroLinq™ 60GHz outdoor PTP/PTMP with fiber-like wireless performance was clearly the “buzz” of nearly all traffic coming through our booth. Interference and throughput demands continue to be a challenge most WISPs are struggling to overcome so the MetroLinq solution is pivotal for the industry, combining both the benefits of unlicensed band operation with virtually no interference. As the first affordable gigabit wireless radio to operate in the unlicensed 60GHz band, MetroLinq delivers high-capacity connections using free bandwidth without the noise and instability that is common in other unlicensed bands. It also includes a second (FREE) 5GHz radio, configured as a backup, providing automatic failover during adverse conditions.

Being relatively new to the wireless industry, the show was a great way to connect and learn from our current customers and product users. Many business owners who stopped by provided testimonials and labeled our efforts as being a “game changer” in the market. Others commented that MetroLinq has opened their business to new markets and additional customers, while significantly reducing deployment and installation costs. It's fantastic to hear words of encouragement, validating the impact we are having on WISPs using IgniteNet products.

With this great response, I can only look forward to WISPAPALOOZA 2017 and cannot wait to see where our technology will take us by this time next year!
